Google plugs a critical zero-day vulnerability in Chrome

If you're using Chrome you'll want to update your browser as soon as possible as Google rolled out an update to fix a critical security vulnerability. It's a high severity type confusion bug (CVE-2021-30563) in the V8 JavaScript engine.

Google warns it's aware that this vulnerability is actively exploited by cybercriminals. Exact details will remain under wraps until enough users have had the opportunity to update Chrome.

In total, the Chrome 91.0.4472.164 release fixes eight security bugs, most of them have a high severity rating.
