NVIDIA to launch Quadro with 1GB in April

NVIDIA is planning to release a new Quadro workstation graphics card in April that will feature 1GB of memory.

Currently it received quite a few orders for these cards but the company can't ship them because the current G70 GPUs can't handle them. One gigabyte of memory would need a higher voltage so NVIDIA will need to wait for its 90nm G71 GPU.

The company plans to ship these cards as soon as possible, as it will sell them for about $8000 each.
