In a statement to analysts, Intel interim CEO Bob Swan
provided some more clarity about the 10nm process. He said the long-delayed process is seeing improved yields, and promised that systems will be on shelves for the 2019 holiday season. This basically confirms we aren't likely to see any 10nm chips until well more than one year from now, in the meantime it's all still 14nm from Intel.
Our industry-leading products continue to deliver outstanding results. We have a leadership 14-nanometer product lineup for 2019, and we continue to make progress on 10-nanometer. Yields are improving consistent with the timeline we shared in April, and we expect systems on shelves for the 2019 holiday season.
