In November we can expect the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 Kentsfield processor and in Q1 2007 the chip giant will release cheaper quad-core processors with the Q6600.
The sales denomination of this processor (Core 2 Quad?) is still unknown. It will include two dies of E6600, be clocked at 2.4 GHz and use a FSB of 1066 MHz. The QX6700 will be clocked at 2.67 GHz and use a FSB of 1066 MHz, and not of 1333 MHz as predicted by various rumours.

The price of this processor is unknown since it isn't included to the current price list which will be in use until January. We noted by the way in this list that there are Core 2 Duo processors price cuts.
