Market research numbers from Jon Peddie Research show Intel has hold its ground in the workstation market:

The research firm says Intel chips were in 92% of all workstation systems shipped in the second quarter, compared to just under 4% for AMD. A senior analyst for Jon Peddie Research says the release of Intel's new Xeon "Woodcrest" processors back in June has allowed the company to hold onto its market share, leaving little room for AMD to grow.
