Today at the IDF2003 The Inquirer had a talk with someone from Intel :

IN AN OPEN session here in Rosicrucian city San Jose, I asked Pat Gelsinger if he was willing to give Nvidia a Pentium 4 chipset licence. Gelsinger said he was interested in "value for value" agreements.

I asked him if he'd like to see Nvidia signed up.

Pat said: "It's not a question of liking. We have one [a licence agreement] with SIS because were able to get a value for value agreement. We haven't been able to do that with Nvidia".

He acknowledged Nvidia could build Pentium 4 chipsets by partnering with IBM.
