NVIDIA aiming for 3 TFLOPS?

Some spicy rumours about NVIDIA's next-generation high-end graphics solution appeared on Nordic Hardware today. One of their sources told them NVIDIA's upcoming GPU will not only sport double the performance of the ATi R680/2950X2, but actually triple the performance.
The card "R680" is suppose to have two RV670 chips side by side on a single PCB and be able to output around 1 TFLOPS. This is the next high-end card from AMD/ATI, but we should not forget about R700 which is due this Spring. G92, or whatever we should call it due to the code-name mismatch in some charts, is also slated for launch in Spring.
This sounds quite unbelievable but the site says it could be that NVIDIA is referencing to a new dual-GPU graphics card or perhaps a tri-SLI config.
