NVIDIA sold over 2 million GeForce 8800 GT cards in four months time and next month we can expect another sales cannon, the GeForce 9600 GT. FUD Zilla
claims this card will deliver 8800 GS like performance at a price of about 150EUR.
It looks attractive and it won’t cost that much to make. Nvidia partners believe that this is the winner and in the last few years Nvidia managed to win this market segment over and over again.
ATI has the HD3850 in that price range, but we are not sure if this chip can go against Nvidia’s 9600GT. ATI’s real answer comes in a few months and it is called RV740.
