Sony PSP shipping in US on March 24 - Europe remains unknown

Sony said that it could miss its target to ship the PlayStation Portable in Europe before the end of March. In the United States the company will start selling the PSP on March 24.
"(Europe) is a tough market because of the language issue," said Hiroshi Kamide, an analyst with KBC Securities. "The U.S. tends to be the easier target because you don't have to put so much effort into it to get a better return."

Kamide added that it might make better sense to take advantage of the current demand in the United States rather than try to rush a European launch.
