DigiTimes heard motherboard makers expect the launch of Intel's Sandy Bridge will help boost demand from the enterprise market in Q1 2011 as the segment will be going through a new PC replacement trend.
The sources also pointed out that Intel has recently updated its CPU lineup and will launch Sandy Bridge-based quad-core Core i7 2600K, 2600 and 2600S; Core i5 2500, 2400 and 2390; and Core i3 2120 and 2100 processors for the desktop segment, and will launch Core i7-2920XM, 2820QM, 2720QM and 2620M; and Core i5-2540M and 2520M processors for notebooks in the first quarter of 2011.

Intel will also launch a dual-core Sandy Bridge-based Celeron processor using its 32nm process in the third quarter of 2011 at a price of US$49 in thousand-unit tray quantities.
Intel is expected to reveal new updates about Sandy Bridge at next week's IDF event in San Francisco.
