The latest PC graphics marketshare report from Mercury Research found AMD was the marketshare leader in discrete graphics cards in Q3 2010 for the second consecutive quarter. The research firm says AMD is the clear leader in DX11 with 25 million units shipped and adds that the company is in a very strong position moving into the final quarter of the year.
AMD continues to make inroads in the notebook discrete market, capturing an additional 5.6 share points and hitting 61.9% share in notebook discrete graphics. Outpacing its competitor yet again in this key market, the result demonstrates the strength of AMD's DirectX 11-capable notebook discrete product stack, the company noted.
