Microsoft's Windows operating system turns 25 today! Following a development period of over 2 years, the company released the very first edition of Windows on November 20, 1985. It was Microsoft's first try at a multi-tasking GUI-based operating system but it took until Windows 3.0 in 1990 before the operating system really became succesful.

Special features include the ability to paste images from Paint into Windows Write, a clock, calendar, a control panel, a terminal and Reversi! All this for just $99.
