While wireless technology frees input devices from cables, it makes them dependent on additional batteries – but that’s about to change. SPEEDLINK® presents a wireless keyboard that doesn’t need any batteries whatsoever: the Wireless Solar Keyboard which features an integrated solar panel to keep it powered with environmentally-friendly energy. The keyboard doesn’t need to be positioned in direct sunlight – to keep the wireless keyboard powered, all that’s needed is to place it in any spot lit by indirect sunlight or artificial lighting. Cutting-edge panel technology, efficient power-saving systems and an integrated rechargeable battery ensure the keyboard is ready to use whenever it’s needed. The keyboard offers true freedom: there’s no need to change batteries or charge it manually using a cable even under poor lighting conditions.
In terms of looks, the Wireless Solar Keyboard is a great addition to any desktop with its ultra-slimline construction and really stylish design boasting a high-gloss pianoblack finish – a perfect match for the shimmering solar panel situated at the top of the keyboard. Low weight and excellent ergonomics are just as much a part of this keyboard as durable technology and first-class workmanship – with the nice and quiet keystroke combined with its precise actuation point making it a real pleasure to type on. “The Wireless Solar Keyboard frees users from cables and the need to change batteries making it ultra convenient and letting users play a key role in protecting the environment,” explains Coletta Jöllenbeck, Director Sales & Purchase at SPEEDLINK®. “With this keyboard, we’re continuing our commitment to conserve natural resources which we started both with our TERRA product range and through our collaboration with the WWF® – something we intend to strengthen in the future.”
