Intel Core i7-6950X engineering sample ends up on eBay

Someone may be in a lot of trouble as an engineering sample of Intel's upcoming Core i7-6950X somehow ended up on eBay.

This new 14nm Broadwell-E processor features ten cores and is compatible with existing LGA2011v3 motherboards with the X99 chipset.

Several high-quality images were included in the auction, which reveal the engineering sample of this 140W TDP chip has a frequency of 3.0GHz. The sample exchanged hands for $1,950.
