The first NVIDIA cards dedicated to cryptocurrency mining will hit retail shelves sometime this month. VideoCardz posted photos of upcoming cards from ASUS, MSI and Colorful. Most models are based on the GeForce GTX 1060 but it seems MSI will also be offering a version based on the GP104 (GTX 1070/1080).

These cards promise to be more energy efficient than regular GeForce cards in cryptocurrency mining. However, the mining cards will have a warranty of just 3 months and will lack display outputs so the resale value will be very low.
The first and most important information is that there at least two SKUs for miners being prepared by NVIDIA. Allegedly there’s a GP104-100 card in the making, based on GTX 1080/1070 design. We don’t know yet how many CUDA cores are enabled, but since GP104-100 is said to be paired with GDDR5X memory it may as well be GTX 1080. These cards are said to be more efficient than normal GeForce cards in cryptocurrency mining (~30 to ~10% depending on SKU).
Here's a look at the upcoming GeForce GTX 1060 mining card from ASUS. This version has 1280 CUDA cores, has a 1506MHz base clock, 1708MHz Boost and 6GB memory clocked at 8GHz.
