AMD Socket M, AM2 to be launched before July

The Inquirer heard AMD has suggested to its partners that the Socket M, AM2, must be launched before the end of June:
AMD wants to meet public expectations for the first half of 2006. It will launch with DDR 2 667MHz DRAM. The DVT samples are expected in April while production should start at April/May timeframe. All has to be well for a June launch.
