Support for DDR2-800 coming up

According to a Chinese newspaper SiS, VIA, NVIDIA and ATI will launch chipsets supporting DDR2 800MHz memory in the first half of this year.
SiS will release its SiS671 northbridge in the third quarter, with volume production to commence in the fourth quarter. It will also introduce the SiS672 northbridge in the first quarter of 2007 and the chipsets will be produced using 90nm technology from United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), the paper said.
