Intel Pentium E1000 (Conroe-L) are single core processors which base on Intel newest Core architecture and target for the value market. There will also a cheaper version of Conroe-L based processors be released as Celeron 400 family in Q3 2007.More details over at HKEPC.
In the previous plan, Conroe-L is named to Core 2 Solo, like in the mobile platform. Yet it’s so confusing to users, thereby Intel decided to extend the life of Pentium and Celeron.
Conroe-L is single core processor which base on Intel newest Core architecture and manufacturing in 65nm process. It’s expected to replace Pentium 4 500 and 600 family. There are 3 models to be released in Q2 2007, including E1020 (1.4GHz), E1040 (1.6GHz) and E1060 (1.8GHz). They all have 1MB L2 cache and 800MHz FSB, where their TDP is 65W. For the Celeron 400 family, there is no detail information announced. The only we know is that they will have 512KB L2 cache, 533FSB, and 65W TDP.
