The Inquirer today got the specs of some new AMD processors for us:
The slowest of the three - the FX 70 - is a 2P Socket F 1207 pin CPU with the hypertransport bus clocked at 2000MHz, the CPU at 2.6GHz and two times 1 MB cache memory on a CPU.

The faster one, the Athlon FX 72, has the same specs but just works at 2.8GHz while the last and fastest one is the FX 74 at 3GHz speed. All three CPUs have a thermal dissipation of 125W.

They are based on Windsor dual core, 90 nanometre on SOI. They should last at least till the end of Q3 2007 when they will be replaced with quad cores, scheduled for Q3 announcement.
They will be released next month.
