Samsung fuel cell dock - 1 month of notebook power!

Posted on Thursday, December 28 2006 @ 00:05:23 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

This fuel cell dock from Samsung is kinda bulky but it delivers impressive performance. The company claims the fuel cell dock can deliver a "battery life" of one month for notebooks like the Samsung Q35 ultraportable.

Samsung says the fuel cell features an energy density of 650Wh/L and that noise levels are reduced to that of a normal laptop.

Availability of this dock is planned for the end of 2007. A mini-version which uses around a coffee cup's worth of fuel is also planned, but it will only deliver a battery life of roughly 15 hours.
