    What are the best keyboards?

Posted on Sunday, December 31 2006 @ 20:12:27 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

ExtremeTech tries to answer the question which keyboards are the best. They take a look at the best gaming keyboards, but also general keyboards, game pad keyboards, media center keyboards and other keyboards as well.
Best General Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse II

Keyboards are so utilitarian that it sometimes seems ridiculous to get excited over one because of its appearance. Well, we have to say that we like the Eclipse a whole lot, not only because of its stylish design and backlit keys, but also because of its sturdy feel and comfortable keys. The Eclipse II scores top marks in both form and function. We recommended the Eclipse II back when it was offered for $70, and now we've seen it for as low as $50. If you waited for that price drop before forking over the dough, wait no longer.
