    Bye bye Pentium 4 2.0, 2.20GHz and Xeon 1.80GHz!

Posted on Thursday, July 24 2003 @ 08:16:53 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Intel keeps on releasing new CPUs so it is logical that they will be discontinuing some processors soon. With releasements of new +3GHz the market slowly looses his interest in lower performance CPUs so this time Intel announced that they plan to discontinue the Intel Pentium 4 2.0, Pentium 4 2.20GHz and the Xeon 1.80GHz. So it is time to say Bye bye! to those.
Last Product Discontinuance Order Date for the Xeon 1.80GHz chip is the 9th of January, 2004; Last Product Discontinuance Shipment Date is the 9th April, 2004 for boxed CPU and the 14th of July, 2006, for tray version of the microprocessor.

Last Product Discontinuance Order Date for the Pentium 4 CPUs at 2.0 and 2.20GHz is November 14 and November 24, 2003, for tray and in-box chips respectively. Last Product Discontinuance Shipment Dates are January 14, 2005, and February 24, 2004, respectively.
