Sapphire comes with a silent RADEON 9800 Pro

Posted on Saturday, July 26 2003 @ 10:42:21 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Akiba has some pictures of the new Radeon 9800 ATLANTIS PRO ULTIMATE Edition from Sapphire. This is almost the same as their Radeon 9800 Atlantis PRO, the only big difference is that this one has a huge heatsink like those from Zalman to cool the GPU card. It is a 128MB version, but according to their sources a 256MB version is maybe coming soon.

This is nice for those between us who really dislike noise, and want to elimate all sources of noise in their PC system, but still want to heave the newest and best stuff avaible! But I think it is doubtfully that you will be able to overclock this card very high with only passive cooling.

Price is around 59 000 Yen which is around $497 and supply is very little.
