MotoRAZR Maxx V6 Ferrari branded cell phone

Posted on Tuesday, January 30 2007 @ 10:15:03 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

First notebook makers team up with exclusive sports car makers to deliver Ferrari and Lamborghini branded notebooks and now cell phone makers are mimicking this behaviour.

Motorola today announced its cooperation with Ferrari on the new MOTORAZR Maxx V6 Ferrari Challenge Mobile Phone Limited Edition. It's a HSDPA capable phone with a Ferrari emblem on the exterior glass.

It's a nice gimmick for Ferrari fans but overall the additional features aren't really impressive. This includes things like a roar of the Ferrari F1 eight-cylindre engine when switching the handset on or off, images of the Ferrari F430 engine on the mini external display and the image of the Ferrari emblem on a grey Ferrari in the internal display. The phone also has about 30 photos stored on its memory of the Ferrari F430 and Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli USA.

The phone is now available for 490EUR.
