Arctic Accelero S2 graphics card cooler

Posted on Tuesday, February 27 2007 @ 00:15:39 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Arctic Cooling has a new passive graphics card cooler for mid-range ATI and NVIDIA graphics cards. The cooler promises noiseless cooling, dual heat pipes, memory cooling, high reliability, low weight and 6 years warranty.

Here's a look at the supported graphics card, unfortunately there's no support for high-end cards like the GeForce 8800:
  • ATI:
    • X1650, X1600, X1550, X1300, X1050 series
    • X850, X800, X700, X600, X550, X300 series
    • 9XXX series
    nVIDIA:
    • FX 5950, 5900, 5700 (Ultra) series
    • FX 5600, 5500, 5200 series
    • GeForce 4 Ti, MX series
  • To provide the ultimate heat conductivity and larger surface area, Accelero S2 features dual thick copper heatpipes which extend directly from GPU core. Heat from the GPU can rapidly reach through 31 dissipating fins that extend beyond the height of the graphic card. Optimized fin design allows air flow to easily pass through and removes the heat effectively. Together with the bundled RAM heat sinks, Accelero S2 provides an all-round passive solution that achieves the best cooling performance.
The price of the Accelero S2 is 18EUR ($22) without VAT.
