How to resize partitions in Windows Vista

Posted on Wednesday, February 28 2007 @ 10:50:52 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Your favorite tools such as Partition Magic may not fully work in Windows Vista yet so Vista Wired explains how you can easily resize hard drive partitions in Windows Vista:
  • Go to the Start menu
  • Right click on Computer and click on Manage
  • If you get a User Account Control dialog click on Continue
  • Open up the Storage category in the left panel and click on Disk Management
  • There you'll find your partitions. You can right click on them to extend/shrink the volume.
