S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shader Mod - better graphics and higher framerate

Posted on Friday, April 27 2007 @ 18:54:16 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Someone at NGO HQ's forums with the nick Regeneration has created a Float32 mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

He says this mod will further improve the already impressive graphics of this game. The mod adds:
  • Full reflection vector calculations
  • Better bump mapping
  • Real specular effects
  • Better shadow effects - no longer jagged but soft
  • The overall graphics quality should vastly improve with this mod and best of all, it doesn't cost you any framerates. According to the details your FPS may even improve by up to 20 percent.

More info and download over here. Unfortunately there are no screenshots available yet.
