Google offers Hot Trends updates

Google has a new feature on its Google Trends site.

From now on the search engine will provide daily updates on the top 10 fastest-rising search trends. The search engine says the data will be refreshed several times a day.

You can find it at Hot Trends. I'm not sure how serious you should take the list as some of the things on it are pretty weird.

I can imagine that queries like "xm outage", "t mobile wing", "polonium 210" and "24 season 6 finale" will be quite popular at the moment but I find it hard to believe that search queries like "what part of a graduate’s costume gave the cordon bleu cooking school its name", "what did the body of water balboa named el mar de sur or the south sea come to be called" or "razer m100 pro solutions protone in ear earphone" are among the top 100 fastest rising search trends.
