Some more rumours about NVIDIA his NV38 and NV36

Posted on Monday, September 29 2003 @ 10:16:20 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Some more rumours about NVIDIA his next graphics cards, the NV38 and NV36. The GeForce FX 5800 look-a-like cooling system of the NV38 will be less heavy, and less noisy the Inq reports :

Further, said the source, the fan is quiet and beats the ATI XT offering by 30dbs or so.

More importantly, the source claimed to the INQ today, while the core speed is officially 475, it's overclockable to 500MHz.

Meanwhile, the NV36 chip is a completely redesigned babe, and NVDA has high hopes this one will be a runner.

We expect the official launch date of Mr NV38 to be October 10th.

A picture of the NV36 can be found here, and a picture of the NV38 can be found here.
