AMD Barcelona has frequency problems?

Posted on Friday, June 08 2007 @ 16:32:23 CEST by

It's rumoured that the AMD K10 chip is having frequency problems.
K10 that we’ve seen at a few places at the show works at 1.6 GHz and not higher. It looks like the current working revision is stable, cool and great at this particular speed.

If you go any higher you end up with a heath and stability problem and that’s why they needed a new revision that should be ready shortly.
According to the rumour mill the chip is delayed to the fourth quarter of this year.
