Asus F8S Santa Rosa-based notebook coming soon

Asus is working on a new F8S notebook which will be based on Intel's Santa Rosa platform.

The F8S will sport a 14.1" widescreen LCD display, Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, Intel PM965 chipset, max 4GB DDR2 RAM, a 160GB Serial ATA HDD and 802.11a/g/n WiFi support.

Buyers can choose between a Mobility Radeon HD 2600 from ATI (F8Sa) or a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT (F8Sv) graphics card. Other features include a fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 2.0, built-in webcam in the LCD display and a TV tuner.

Pricing is unknown but will be fairly expensive.
