AMD RD790/780 chipsets expected by mid-October

Posted on Friday, September 28 2007 @ 01:45:13 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

FUD Zilla heard from their sources that the new AMD RD790 and RD790 are ready to be launched by mid-October.
RD790 will bring PCIe 2.0 and four PCIe slots to these motherboards and we've heard that it might be quite a good overclocker as well.

Nvidia will have its own Nforce 780a and 750a coming shortly and it looks like yet another fight between these two companies for the chipset performance crown.
The new NVIDIA chipsets are expected in November.
