Graphics card demand to increase in Q2 2008

Posted on Tuesday, October 30 2007 @ 10:00:36 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Graphics card makers expect demand for graphics cards will receive a boost in the second quarter of 2008:
With Windows Vista SP1 and more DirectX 10-based games scheduled to launch in 2008, demand for DirectX 10-based graphics cards should see a boost, noted the sources.

Additionally, 20 and 22-inch widescreen monitors should become mainstream products in 2008, pushing the average monitor resolution up to 1680×1050. This could cause users with integrated graphics to upgrade for better performance, added the sources.
