New GeForce 8800 GTS expected by mid-November

Posted on Wednesday, October 31 2007 @ 01:40:36 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

FUD Zilla claims NVIDIA is working on a faster GeForce 8800 GTS graphics card. The site says this card will be based on the GeForce 8800 GT design and will feature faster shader and GPU clockspeeds.
The key is the faster Shader clock at a fast clock but we still don’t know when will this card be launched.

A few people are talking on the internet that Nvidia plans to launch this new product in two weeks but it doesn’t make much sense to us as the 8800GT is selling so great that it is in short supply from day one.
The Tech Report on the other hand says otherwise and claims the new GeForce 8800 GTS is still based on the G80, with some additional shader processors. Therefore the card won't have the benefits of the GeForce 8800 GT.
