Touchscreens to become mainstream in 2008

Posted on Tuesday, November 27 2007 @ 08:21:16 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

According to HP's Taiwanese office we're going to see a lot more products with touch screens in 2008.

HP Taiwan's personal system group general managed Dennis Chen says touch-screen based products will become mainstream in 2008. You'll find the technology in PDA, phones and notebooks, while desktop PCs will also start to adopt the technology.

The site also reports HP is considering to develop low-cost PCs:
HP is also considering to enter the low-cost PC market, but the company will still focus its development toward full-function devices since the company thinks consumers in any market will not accept products with low performance and less functions.
