    90% of notebooks to be made in Taiwan in 2008

    Research figures from IDC indicate 90 percent of all notebooks in 2009 will be made in Taiwan:
    Taiwan-based ODMs are expected to account for 90.31% of the 130 million notebook PCs forecast to be shipped worldwide in 2008, according to the Chinese-language Commercial Times, which cited information from IDC. Taiwan-based makers manufactured 90.19 million notebooks out of the 107 million units shipped globally in 2007, added the paper.
