    BFG 8800 GTS OC2 512MB released - watercooled

Posted on Monday, December 31 2007 @ 00:05:14 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

BFG unveiled a new GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB graphics card with a watercooling solution from Danger Den:
BFG has partnered up with Danger Den, well known water block manufacturer to create this card, which comes with factory overclocked core from reference 650MHz to 700MHz and Shader clocks pushed from reference 1625MHz to 1728MHz. The only drawback is that 512MB of GDDR3 memory have remained at reference 1940MHz, but if that Danger Den water block also covers the memory chips there should be additional overclocking potential left in those memory chips.
The card costs a hefty $529.99 and according to BFG it runs up to 30°C less hot than a 8800 GTS with stock cooling.
