    Asus ROG Rampage Formula released

Posted on Thursday, February 28 2008 @ 03:17:08 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Asus has released its Republic of Gamers Rampage Formula motherboard. Here's a look at some of the special features:
Quiet Cooling with Pin-Fin Thermal Module Design
Thermal solutions for motherboards are paramount to overclocking, as temperatures affect stability and thus overclocking results. The new Pin-Fin thermal design breaks the "Boundary-layer" phenomenon for effective airflows and results in better overall thermal performance when compared with traditional stacked-fin heatpipe solutions. It also features an enlarged “heat-exchange” surface area – allowing the most efficient heat dissipation to occur, and thus achieve the best thermal cooling. What’s more, this new thermal design is able to lower system temperatures at a lower fan speed for reduced noise – providing a quieter environment for operations.

CPU Level Up: The All-in-one Tuning Experience
The ROG Rampage Formula comes with unique features for flexible CPU upgrading without extra costs. The CPU Level Up feature allows users to easily upgrade CPU performances without prior overclocking knowledge. Simply pick the processor you need, and the motherboard will do the rest. In just 3 easy steps (entering BIOS -> choosing the CPU Level Up -> Reboot), this handy feature will allow you to achieve higher levels of performance. This innovative technology has also been listed at on the Ten Best Technologies and Trends of 2007 at the reviewing site Extremetech.

Listen with Absolute HD with SupremeFX II
SupremeFX II delivers an excellent high definition audio experience to the gamers of ROG. The SupremeFX II features unique audio innovations for gamers to spot enemies in 3D environments during game play. SupremeFX II also provides gamers a special tool to emphasize human voices in games to help make dialogues clearer and more audible.
