    ASUS 3850 Trinity specifications, benchmarks

Posted on Thursday, March 27 2008 @ 12:24:12 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Sooner than expected, Nordic Hardware got a hold of the specifications and benchmarks with the tri-core graphics card from ASUS.
"Sooner than expected, we've been served some more information about the prototype triple-core card from ASUS. Radeon HD 3850 Trinity will sport three RV670 cores, all on separate MXM modules. Last we reported we did not know the exact specifications of the card, but those have been unveiled today. "
You can check it out over here. The card features three RV670 GPUs clocked at 668MHz and each core has 512MB GDDR3 memory running at 1656MHz. On a rig with the Asus Rampage Formula X48 and an overclocked Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 running at 4.6GHz (11 x 419MHz) the card scored 94,110 points in 3DMark03 and 24,909 points in 3DMark06.
