NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GS and 9300 GS - rebadged GPUs

Earlier this week NVIDIA rebadged the GeForce 8800 GS to GeForce 9600 GSO and according to FUD Zilla we can expect even more renaming. The site says the green team's GeForce 8500 GT will soon be renamed to 9400 GS and the GeForce 8400 GS will live on as the GeForce 9300 GS.Nvidia cannot get enough renaming. What used to be eight will be turned to 9. This time around, they want to rename G98 / D8P its 65nm chip from eight series to nine series. We are not surprised, as we know that Nvidia has quite a lot of these chips and it doesn’t have much success in selling these huge quantities to big OEMs.
Remember, we already told you that the company plans to launch Geforce 9 series in the entry-level market around June time. The new renaming game will affect two chips, Geforce 8400GS and Geforce 8500GT.
