Acer rolled out a new high-end gaming desktop system today, the Aspire Predator. This system features an exclusive design and will no doubt cost a lot of money. The Aspire Predator features Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core processors, GeForce 9600 GT, GeForce 9800 GTX or even GeForce 9800 GX2 SLI support.
Fans will appreciate the deep metallic copper colored housing perfectly representing the power it encloses: the front of the body can be raised, accompanied by a world first optical bay mechanism to reveal a rewritable DVD and Blu-ray Disk reader. The easily accessed USB and audio ports on top are complemented with a front-mounted multi-card reader. Blue rays of light emanate from the power button and front hard-drive door, for a polished, powerful look.

One of the Predator’s most striking features is the fact that you can also have easy access to the Hard Disks via a special door on the front of the lower part of the chassis: the standard Acer Easy-swap Hard Drive solution makes the 4 Serial ATA 3 Gb/s high capacity hard disks removable even when the PC is turned on and in use1. This rapid access and replacement of hard disks transforms the new Acer Aspire PREDATOR into an easily expandable, scalable platform. RAID 0, 1, 5, 1+0 modes with NVIDIA MediaShield Storage technology guarantee the utmost data security in the event of disk failure. The optional high speed Raptor 10.000 rpm hard drives offer exceptional performance especially when configured in its RAID 0 striping configuration.

Dual LAN technology permits blazing file transfers and optimizes system performance, and its teaming mode permits two connections to work at the same time for network redundancy so there will be no end to your gaming fun.

The Aspire PREDATOR incorporates the highly overclockable Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor with 1333MHz FSB. The nTune overclocking utility offers simple control over the traditional complex process of overclocking the CPU, RAM and graphic cards without the need to constantly reboot after adjustments. In addition the NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI MCP, 3-way SLI capable motherboard offers 2 x G9600GT, 2 x G9800GTZ or even 2 x G9800GX2 (4 x GPU) extreme graphic cards depending on the configuration.

The PREDATOR features an advanced liquid cooling system that maintains cool system performance admist the most intense gaming. This state of the art cooling system offered by Acer is made to last for continuous operation without fear of pump failure or coolant evaporation.

The new Aspire PREDATOR desktops come with essential accessories such as a multimedia gaming keyboard with illuminated keys that light up to play in the dark, a gaming mouse, Dolby Home Theater audio enhancement as well as EAX® 4.0 support for the best gaming audio experience. And finally, for users who want to keep their PC up to date at all times, the Predator permits integration of even more sophisticated technologies and components.
