Microsoft to launch Web-based MSN Messenger

Posted on Monday, July 26 2004 @ 15:45:00 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

It looks like Microsoft is planning to launch a web-based version of its MSN Messenger IM client. At this moment the MSN Web Messenger is already available for some testers. Only a computer with an internet connection and a browser is needed to communicate trough this new service, no additional software needs to be installed.

Some sites like WBMSN and eMessenger already offer this service.

It is expected that Microsoft will launch this service later this year.
