Yahoo launched Photo Upload service for Mobile phones

Posted on Monday, July 26 2004 @ 17:59:08 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Yahoo launched a new service aimed at cell phones with built-in digital cameras. The company's new service allows users to transmit pictures from their camera phones directly to their Yahoo Photo accounts.

Yahoo said that Yahoo Mobile Photo Upload will work with any camera phone on the five major U.S. wireless carriers. Yahoo said that there is no charge for usage of this service, and that there is no limit to the number of photos that can be uploaded.
The new upload service follows an application Yahoo already offers for customers of some cell phone carriers that lets users view the pictures in their photo accounts on their phones.
