    NVIDIA to acquire Zoran?

Posted on Wednesday, July 02 2008 @ 19:49:41 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Word is out on the street that NVIDIA is in talks to buy Zoran, a Silicon Valley company that makes chips for consumer devices like digital cameras, DVD players, HDTVs and set-top boxes.
That’s the rumor, according to a Hebrew-language daily business publication called Calcalist. According to Bloomberg, the newspaper reported that a U.S.-based company is in talks about buying Zoran, and that the company may be Nvidia. The Calcalist story did not name a source for the report.
