Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 ships on August 31

Posted on Monday, July 28 2008 @ 23:58:39 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Rumour site FUD Zilla claims Intel will release the Core 2 Quad Q8200 processor on August 31st for $224.
We are talking about a CPU with FSB 1333 and 4MB of cache memory and according to Intel’s plan, this CPU should be selling at a wholesale price of $224. This price is actually only valid if you buy thousand(s) of these CPUs.

Q8200 will be the cheapest 45nm quad-core to date and Q9300 with its 2.5GHz clock and Q9400 with 2.66GHz clock will remain selling at $266.
