MSI debuts GeForce 9500 GT and 9800 GT cards

Posted on Tuesday, July 29 2008 @ 18:13:01 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

MSI has released three GeForce 9500 GT and two GeForce 9800 GT graphics cards today. One of the 9500 GT cards is a passive edition.
MSI proudly unveils its latest N9800GT-T2D512-OC, N9800GT-Zilent 1G, N9500GT-MD512/D3 and N9500GT-MD512/D2 graphics cards. Both MSI N9800GT and N9500GT series offer the best price and performance ratio, either for extreme graphics gaming or HD movie playback. The SLI®-Ready MSI N9800GT series comes with 112 processor cores and a 256-bit high speed frame buffer. You will enjoy features such as NVIDIA® PhysX™ technology and HybridPower™ for high end realistic gaming and optimal power management. With MSI N9500GT series you will enjoy the best 3D experience in Windows® Vista™ and watch high-definition movie with lowest power usage.

To extend the overclocking possibilities and advanced tweaking. MSI N9800GT series is equipped with 4 times 6mm heat pipes, covered by a metal hood which will increase the cooling during high performance. With the use of 6mm heat pipes instead of the normal 5.5mm MSI’s cooling solution decreases the card’s temperature with 20% more.

MSI N9500GT series applies the best air conducting heatsink design, the Omni-directional curving grooves. Through precise calculation, the Omni-directional curved grooves design extends air contacting surface than straight-line groove by 30%. Also, the airflow covers all the nearby components onboard and spread airstreams evenly in the chassis, resulting in a much better heat balance than with a normal cooler.
