Lenovo to ship netbook in late September

DigiTimes heard Lenovo is planning to launch a netbook by the end of September:
Currently, Compal Electronics, Wistron and Pegatron Technology are all possible candidates to manufacture the netbook for Lenovo. Compal shipped around 1.1 million mainstream notebooks to Lenovo in the second quarter this year, while Wistron shipped around 550,000-580,000 Lenovo X-series ultra-portables and Pegatron shipped around 200,000 IdeaPads.

Ken Wong, general manager of Lenovo Taiwan confirmed that the company is considering launching a netbook product designed with consideration for both consumer and enterprise markets.
