Panasonic debuts 8x Blu-ray burner

Panasonic announced the first Blu-ray burner that can write Blu-ray discs at 8x speed. With the new Panasonic LF-PB371JD drive, which will be available in mid-September, you'll be able to burn 25GB Blu-ray discs in approximately 14 minutes while a 50GB disc will take about 28 minutes.

Furthermore, the drive also supports DVD-RAM (5x), DVD-R (16x), DVD-R DL (8x), DVD-RW (6x), CD-R (48x) and CD-RW(24x).



The price is said to be around 250EUR.
