Intel releases four desktop motherboards

Intel has released four desktop motherboards designed for mainstream and multimedia consumers.
The Intel® Desktop Board DG45ID Media Series is targeted at home entertainment users who want to bring best-in-class entertainment to their living rooms. Built to support Intel® Core™2 Quad** and Intel® Core™2 Duo processors, it features quad-core and dual-core processing with 1333/1066/800 MHz system bus in the LGA775 package. The board is coupled with Intel® G45 Express Chipset and offers the next level of integrated graphics performance with Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD (Intel® GMA X4500HD) with Intel® Clear Video Technology. For greater platform performance and flexible memory support, there is dual-Channel DDR2 800/667 memory support, four DIMM sockets, designed to support up to 8 GB of DDR2 800/667 SDRAM memory. In addition, there is one PCI Express* 2.0 x16 graphics connector delivering up to 16 GB/s bandwidth per port, double that of PCI Express 1.0. The motherboard has five Serial ATA ports (3.0 Gb/s) with RAID capability to facilitate high-speed storage and data transfers at up to 3.0 Gb/s with data protection features. Equipped with Intel® 82567LF Gigabit Ethernet Controller, it features onboard 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN connectivity. Moreover, users can enjoy the rich sound quality of Intel® High Definition Audio with 7.1 surround sound with Dolby* Home Theater.

Intel® Desktop Board DG45FC Media Series is a small and powerful platform that caters for a rich digital home entertainment experience. Built in mini-ITX form factor with integrated HDMI + DVI display outputs, together with high-definition playback hardware acceleration decode, the board supports Intel® Core™2 Duo processors with 1333/1066/800 MHz system bus in the LGA775 package. The board is paired with the Intel® G45 Express Chipset which delivers up to 4 GB support for DDR2 800/667 SDRAM memory. There are five Serial ATA ports (3.0 Gb/s) with RAID capability and an Intel® 82567LF Gigabit Ethernet Controller. The board features Intel® High Definition Audio with 7.1 surround sound and is coupled with Dolby* Control Center interface. There is also

The new Intel DG43NB Desktop Board also brings in a new generation of graphics capabilities including the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X4500 with Intel® Clear Video Technology that enables the user to experience enhanced HD video playback. Premium features such as the rich sound quality of Intel® High Definition Audio with 5.1 surround sound, an Intel® PRO 10/100/1000 Network Connection, and IEEE 1394a are also supported by both boards to deliver a greater digital entertainment experience. Intel Desktop Board DG43NB and Intel Desktop Board DP43TF are both Microsoft* Windows Vista* Premium WHQL certified. The Intel® Desktop Board DG43NB is based on Intel® G43 Express Chipset and the Intel® Desktop Board DP43TF is based on Intel® P43 Express Chipset.
