    Lamptron Hummer baybus unveiled

Posted on Saturday, September 27 2008 @ 04:04:01 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Lamptron has unveiled a new baybus with 5 independent military switches. Each channel can handle over 100W, but unfortunately you can't adjust the fan speed. All it does is on/off.

A bit more interesting is the Lamptron FAN-ATIC 5-port military 3-way switch baybus, you can check it out at Sidewindercomputers. The design isn't really pretty but this $27.95 baybus can do over 60W per channel and features five switches to adjust the voltage from 0V to 7V to 12V. According to the feature list it can handle a total power consumption of 300W!
The Lamptron Fan-Atic is a military style switch baybus, capable of switching devices up to 30 watts from Off to 7V or to 12V DC. This is the perfect device to tone down our Delta AFB1212GHE-CF00 or a Swiftech MCP355 12v DC Pump to 7 volts with a flick of a switch. For 12v DC selection, a Red LED is displayed, Blue LED is shown for 7v DC selections, and devices turned off do not display an LED light. The retail package includes five (5) long 3-pin Extension cables of the highest quality, with thick gauge wire suitable for up to 60 watt devices. Note: during our testing, we noted that high power devices may require a 2-3 second power-up prep time to begin operation.
